John Morrison Inujured?

Word coming out of WWE is that John Morrison was legitimately injured at last night's SmackDown tapings, suffering a badly sprained ankle in his match with R-Truth. Morrison posted a message on his new Twitter this morning saying that he was headed to the airport but his ankle still hurt.

No word yet on how long he will be out of action or if he will miss the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, where he is booked in the SmackDown main event.

Elimination Chamber Match Preview

At WWE Elimination Chamber, the World Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs in one of two treacherous main event matches that share the inaugural pay-per-view’s name. But the six SmackDown Superstars involved will be fighting for more than glory, or even the title. They will be fighting to headline WrestleMania.

World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker will put his World Title on the line against CM Punk, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio, R-Truth, and Chris Jericho, each of whom won their qualification matches just five nights after the Royal Rumble.

The WWE Elimination Chamber is one of the most punishing structures ever conceived by man. Every square inch of the steel menace is a career-threatening accident waiting to happen.

Even a legend like The Demon of Death Valley steps into the vicious structure with the odds stacked against him, as any of his five opponents can capture his coveted “holy grail” without directly eliminating the ominous champion.

Four of the Superstars – The Phenom himself, Mysterio, Jericho and Punk – have ventured inside the dreaded nightmare before, leaving a small piece of themselves behind in the process. John Morrison and R-Truth have never competed in an Elimination Chamber Match before. However, with all that is at stake, experience may not be the difference between victory and defeat. In an atmosphere of pure terror and unpredictable mayhem, it may simply become a question of who wants it most.

And what they want is to be in the main event on The Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania. With the exception of Edge, who surprised all by returning from injury to win the Royal Rumble, this could be their last opportunity to head-up the squared circle’s biggest event of the year. But in order to walk into Arizona a World Champion, they must first walk out of the cold, black steel of the dreaded Chamber triumphant.

Will The Undertaker stand his ground or be overcome by one of his five dangerous challengers at WWE Elimination Chamber> Find out Sunday, Feb. 21, live on pay-per-view.
